Joi Shea Butter

This is my personal business that was inspired by the natural products I use over the years since my introduction to shea butter during the African festivals that my dad would take me to when I was a kid. When my daughter was born, I realized that her skin would flare up and have this weird rough texture around her neck and back. It turned out to be eczema and I decided to make my own skin care products that would be good enough for her but also with the highest quality ingredients. The journey allowed me to look further into the healing properties that nature gives us in without the need of chemicals, preservatives, and other unknown not-meant-for-skin things. From 2015 to now, I dwelled into incorporating a system of sustainibilty to encourage habits that will reduce our carbon footprint. Although it's just a small step, I plan on building a community of future entrepreneurs who could also find solutions to keep our earth clean and beautiful.
